Water Treatment Plant Mechanic Lead
Salary: $22.66 – $32.86 Hourly

The Water Treatment Plant Mechanic Lead report to the Water Treatment Plant Mechanic Supervisor.  The primary function of this position is to be tasked with the acquisition of replacement parts and assist in the maintenance and repair of water treatment plant related electric motors, pumps, valves, chemical feed systems, chemical mixers and other related equipment.  This requires working closely with and coordinating work with the current instrumentation technicians, plant operators and other personnel, while ensuring the operating continuity of the Water treatment plant. They will be asked to coordinate special projects and participate in Capital improvement projects. The schedule may require them to be available after hours, standby, weekend and Holiday rotations as needed. This position will report directly to the Water Treatment Maintenance Supervisor.

Ideal candidates will be experienced with water treatment plant mechanical maintenance and repair. Also important are attention to detail, strong “repair or replace” decision making skills, and a creative approach to problem solving. Responsible for monitoring and management of the Asset management program “Lucity” and developing and maintaining SOP’s.   • 3 years of experience in a supervisory or lead position.
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license.
  • Grade 2 Water Treatment Certification and a Grade 2 Water Distribution Certification.
  • Certification in welding, fabrication or journeymen trades training.

The primary function of this position is to exhibit a service orientation toward internal and external customers and maintain productive working relationships. Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of a variety of equipment, facilities, grounds, and parks. Identify issues and initiates the repair or replacement of items. Work directly with contractors, developers, vendors and/or customers providing guidance, and/or information. Initiate problem resolutions and/or requests for appropriate resources. Receive and submit work orders daily with the Lucity software program. Will be required to respond to emergency calls and take appropriate actions. This position will also conduct annual fire alarm testing and fire inspections.

Candidates must possess the following requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
  • Vocational/technician training in general building maintenance, electrical and plumbing
  • Four to Seven years of experience working with heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems

Summer Camp Recreation Leader

The Recreation Leader – Summer Camps reports to the Recreation Coordinator.  The primary function of this position is to assist with implementing facility programs and events. Duties include preparing activities, curriculum, leading and monitoring assigned activities, adapting to participant’s needs, as well as classroom management and maintaining records.

These positions will work from the end of May through early August, from 25 to 35 hours per week and help kids enjoy activities such as arts & crafts, music, science, drama, dance, sports, games, special events, and field trips.  Summer camps are nine-week “drop-in” style programs for boys and girls five (5) to twelve years (12) of age that include a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.

Candidates must possess the following requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of program implementation & leading activities
  • One year of clerical and customer service experience
  • Flexible availability to work days and evenings Monday –  Friday
